Spent a couple of days on Ko Lanta, an island 2 hours south of Krabi. Nice beaches crowded with bungalows and resorts .... a lot of farang (tourists) intermingled with adorable Thai children running all over the place. I took a long walk on one of the beaches and came across these cuties playing together on a kayak. They saw I was carrying my camera and stopped to give me a wave .... check out the little boy hamming it up in the foreground!
Believe it or not, I think I've had enough of the beach scene (wah! I know those shivering in TO and KW must hate me now) and will slowly make may way up the Indian Ocean side of southern Thailand. Next stop is Phangna where I plan to check out some caves, mangroves and a Muslim village built on stilts.

Hey Naomi!
I know, I have been sending you e-mails through MSN instead of using Blog - but I'm glad you still got my e-mails and it's great to hear from you.
I'm finally on Blog and I can see the pictures you had taken ...Wow! Ko Lanta is a very nice place. I’m happy that you’re having a great time over there. I love the pictures of the monkeys, especially the pictures of the beach.
Girl, all I got to say is that you're sooo lucky to be some where hot :)
Have fun and be safe...can't wait to see more pictures.
Take care,
Naomi A
Hi Niom,
I'm glad you're having a great time, thought I can't understand how you can have too much beach!!
I love the colour of the water...just like I dreamed it would be.
Love Noelle
Hey Naomi-
I'm living vicariously, living my past, and longing for the beach with your postings. I wish we had blogs when I went around the world -- what a great way to share a trip!
You're missing nothing here except a -25 wind chill. And the Leafs keep losing (in case you care). It's sooooooo Canada.
Keep up the blogging. It's a fun read, especially for us oldsters who did their adventuring years ago.
Paul
Hey guys, thanks for reading my blog! Glad you find it interesting ... and right now, I am very thankful not to be in Toronto. Yuck ... I'm definitely not missing the -25 degree weather.
Nice and hot here in beautiful Thailand!
